My tasks

My tasks is the project board with everyone else’s work taken out. It shows every task assigned to you, from every project you’re on.

Where to find it

Open Project Management and click the My tasks tab. If your organization doesn’t use dashboards, this is also the page the app opens when you sign in. The assignment and reminder emails link to it as well.

What lands here

A task shows up here as soon as it’s assigned to you, whoever did it. That can be:

  • a colleague picking you in Assigned to on the board
  • you adding a task on this page
  • the CRM, when you own a deal that has a next step
  • the Validation module, when you’re asked to validate an asset
  • the Social calendar, when a planned post is assigned to you

There’s no exception to that rule. A task you created but handed to someone else leaves this page, even though you can still see it on the main board. An unassigned task doesn’t show here either, even one you wrote yourself. And if you’ve been taken off a project’s team, its tasks drop off this page even while they’re still assigned to you. Team membership is set on the Projects page.

How it differs from the board

The page works like the project board, with a few differences:

  • The four tiles count your tasks only.
  • There’s a Today card, but no report of finished work and no Gantt view.
  • The Assigned to me chip is gone, since it’s always on here. The project chips still let you narrow the list to one project, or to No project.

Finished tasks stay in Done until an admin archives them.

The Today card

Today lists what’s on your plate right now: your tasks in In Progress, and your To Do tasks due today. In-progress tasks that are already late come first, in red. A late task still in To Do doesn’t appear on the card, so keep an eye on the red “overdue” chips in the lanes.

Click a title to open the task, or tick its circle once it’s done. A recurring task then brings back its next occurrence, as described in reminders and recurring tasks.

Add a task for yourself

Click + Add task in a lane, type the title and press Enter. The app assigns it to you as soon as it’s saved, so it stays on this page. You also get the usual assignment email, which works as a record.

Work on your tasks

Everything from the main board works here, from dragging cards to the right-click menu and the task details. Hand a task to a colleague and it moves to their list.

Who can do this

Everyone with access to Project Management can open My tasks. Moving and editing cards takes the same rights as on the board. A person with view rights only can read the list but can’t change it.

What it costs

Nothing. My tasks uses no credits.

Good to know

  • Archived tasks don’t show here. Anyone who can edit tasks can bring one back from the Archived tab with Restore.
  • The Today card is the same one as on the board. You can tick off the day’s work from either page.
  • Cards made from an agent finding with Create task start unassigned. They reach this page only once someone assigns them to you.
