Commissions
See what customers you brought paid BearingBridge and what you earned on it. Commission counts money paid in, at the rate frozen on each lead.
The Commissions page is your statement as a commercial partner: what the customers you brought have paid BearingBridge, and your share of it. Unless you’ve picked another home page, it’s the first thing you see when you sign in.
How your commission is calculated
Your commission is your rate multiplied by what the customer paid.
“Paid” means money in. In practice that’s the customer’s credit purchases plus their automatic top-ups, minus any refund. Because refunds come off the total, a figure you’ve already seen can go down.
What the customer spends in the app doesn’t matter. A customer who buys credits and hasn’t used them yet has already earned you your share. Free credit that BearingBridge grants a customer isn’t a payment, so it earns nothing. Neither does the expected value you typed when you registered the lead, since that was your own estimate.
Everything on the page is in US dollars, because that’s the currency customers pay BearingBridge in.
An example
Say your rate is 15%. A customer you brought buys $500 of credits in March and sets up automatic top-ups that add $200 in April. Their They paid figure is $700 and you’ve earned $105. If they later get a $100 refund, the figures become $600 and $90. (The rate here is only an example. Yours is on the page.)
Your rate
Your commission rate is set by the BearingBridge team, and you’ll find it in the first tile, Your rate (“of what your customers pay us”).
The rate is frozen on each lead the day the lead is connected to a customer account. If your rate changes later, the new rate only applies to leads connected after the change. That’s why Your rate at the top can differ from the Rate shown on an older line in the list: each line keeps the rate it was connected at.
When a lead starts earning
A lead shows a commission once it’s connected to the account the customer opened. A lead you registered on Leads is connected by the BearingBridge team after the deal is won. A prospect who signs up through one of your invitations is connected the moment their account exists, with nothing for anyone to do.
The account can be an organization or a personal account. Once it’s connected, everything that account has paid counts, including any credits it bought before the connection was made.
If a lead shows Won on your Leads page but isn’t listed here, it hasn’t been connected to the customer’s account yet. If it stays that way, or a lead looks connected to the wrong account, ask the BearingBridge team to check it.
What’s on the page
With the rules out of the way, here’s what each part of the page shows.
The five tiles
| Tile | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Your rate | Your current commission rate, “of what your customers pay us”. |
| Leads registered | Every lead you have, with how many are won. |
| Customers earning | Leads connected to a customer account. |
| They paid us | What those customers paid in total: purchases and top-ups, refunds deducted. |
| You earned | Your total commission to date. |

Earning customers
Below the tiles, Earning customers gives you one line for each lead that became a paying account.
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Lead | The company name on your lead. |
| Customer account | The organization or person the lead became. |
| Earning since | The day the lead was connected, in your date format. |
| They paid | What that account has paid. |
| Rate | The rate frozen on that lead. |
| You earned | Your commission on that account. |
A Total row sums what was paid and what you earned.

Until one of your leads is connected, the list reads: “Nothing to show yet. Once one of your leads is won and the customer opens their account, what they pay us appears here with your commission on it.”
Getting paid
This page is a statement. It shows what you’ve earned, but the money itself doesn’t move through the app. How and when your commission is paid is arranged with the BearingBridge team, so write to them through Contact us with Partnership or sales as the reason.
The figures are worked out fresh each time you open the page, from what’s been paid up to that moment. Your lead list, with the commission on each lead, is also on Leads.
